Welcome! LAB SUNDAYS is where coffee turns into a Sunday adventure.

Every last Sunday of the month (with a little timing tweak if a holiday weekend gets in the way), we host a rotating lineup of hands-on workshops—tastings, brewing sessions, new coffee launches, espresso playtime, and cuppings. Whether you are just getting into coffee or have been nerding out for years, come hang out, learn something new, and meet more coffee people. Our goal is to grow a friendly little community that shares the coffee journey together.

Theme: Milk Steaming & Latte Art Basics

Learn the foundations of silky milk texture and simple latte art in a hands-on workshop for home coffee lovers and aspiring home baristas.

We will break milk steaming into practical, repeatable steps: how to position the steam wand, add air at the right moment, build a smooth whirlpool, control temperature, and create glossy microfoam that integrates beautifully with espresso.

You will then put those skills into practice with a guided introduction to pouring milk drinks and simple latte-art patterns.

What you will learn:

• How to set up your milk pitcher and steam wand for better control
• When and how to add air to create fine microfoam
• How to build a whirlpool for smooth, glossy milk texture
• How to recognize the right milk temperature before it overheats
• How to avoid large bubbles, thin foam, and separated milk
• How to prepare milk for cappuccinos, lattes, and flat whites
• An introduction to simple pouring technique and basic latte-art patterns

No prior latte-art experience is required. This session is designed for anyone who wants more confidence steaming milk at home, from complete beginners to home enthusiasts looking to improve their consistency.

What we will provide: milk station, steaming pitchers, practice cups, espresso, and guided visual demonstrations.
